How To Not SUCK At Social Media.

October 22, 2019

To suck at doing something simply refers to something inefficient or not good enough. Nowadays, it is difficult to imagine our life without social media. It has covered all the spheres of our lives. However, the benefits of social media far outweigh the bad. Apart from it’s negative impact, social media also connects me with cool people and interesting informations around the world I might not encounter otherwise, and sometimes it makes me realize there are so many things going on in the world.

Furthermore,if i have learned anything about social media it has to be that it’s dynamic, and complicated nature. There are two ways an individual appears on social media, Either as an Advertisement or as a Person. If you were to have an agenda when it came to using social media, the one to choose is to be helpful. The trap we fall into is going on social media to endlessly sell people things. Paid ads are there to sell you stuff, whereas social media has an entirely different purpose. The two have become confused.

Whereas that’s a strategy and should be opted out of for your good. yeah

The concept is to Show up as a ‘person’ on social media and you’ll stop sucking at it. Avoid these few things:

1.UNDERSTAND THE POINT OF THE DIFFERENT PLATFORMS:

There are varieties of social media platforms out there, If you are looking to build a job or profession in the social media world, you need to understand the ideas behind their establishment so as not to suck. Not only do you need to understand them, you need to prioritize and know what works for you best!!

2.ANSWER THOSE COMMENTS:

You got to show your followers or fans that you acknowledge them by responding to either their comments or liking their post.

Not every comment though!because you have a life to live too. But, respond to a few comments and be helpful if necessary,Just be social!

3. DON’T BE BORING!!!

Apparently, this should have been the rule number 1

The beauty of social media is that it’s instantaneous. That means you have approximately half a second to catch someone’s attention online. Don’t suck at it. Make it count!

With so many engagements such as sharing, liking, posting, tweeting, instagramming, pinning, and commenting, it can be really hard to stand out. If you are a social media fresher(lol yes!)with a small following (nothing wrong with that) it’s going to be impossible to get noticed if you post really boring stuff.

BUILD OTHERS UP

Tear-downs, trolls, hate, rude comments — these are the diseases of social media that spread like cancer through a little four-year-old’s brain who has nothing but innocent intentions to live life.

Use social media to meet people and be happy when they win. Treat social media as a team sport rather than a one-person race.
